On the second battery pack of the Venturi I was just a little bit out passing me - instead of flying a few meters away it came directly over my head. I turned around as I lost sight of it due to the cap I wear and waited the 1 second it would take to appear.
While I was waiting I heard from over my right shoulder an interesting noise. Sort of a whump sound followed by some shouting. Several seconds later it finally dawned on me that I wasn’t going to see the model; the noise was the model. Somewhere it shouldn’t be.
It turned out that the model turned to the right as I turned around and hit the roof of the control tower. Well, actually the small flat roof just behind the tower. There (at maximum speed) it had skidded across the roof where the brick parapet stopped it rather quickly. So quickly that the battery was ejected, flew 20m and landed on the concrete floor. Broken. Most definitely broken.
There goes $60.
