Slowstick Boating

Balls. Slowie got a bit out of control and ended up in the river.

I could see where it was, right in the middle of the river. It was low tide and stuck in the mud but about 50m away the edge of the aerodromo through some really tough trees, bushes and vegitation. Worse, from another persons exploits I know that river mud is about 50cm deep and very sticky.

And stinky.

I left it as a total loss.

Then, as if by miracle about 20 minutes later some bird-watchers came along the river from afar. One of them saw Slowie, pulled on some waders and went and fetched it, and left it on the side of the runway.
